Types of Personal Data collected and processed
Where we collect personal data via our website, we will be upfront about it and it will be obvious to you that you’re providing personal data and how we will be using it. Where we use cookies, our cookie banner will provide the information you need to understand and where necessary, consent to, our use of cookies and similar technologies.
Visitors to our website (https://shopuk.lkk.com/)
Website Analytics
When someone visits our shop we make use of a number of third-party analytics services. Each of these services collect standard information about visitors to the site and their behaviour (e.g. what pages they viewed, how they moved around the website, etc.). The data provided by these services is anonymised and in no way enables us to identify individual visitors, however, they do place a cookie on your device to enable the service. For more information about how these cookies work you should visit:
Klaviyo
We also make use of Klaviyo to provide analytics as visitors move around our website. These analytics provide us with specific visitor information which could include your name, location and preferences (where applicable) and details of any purchases you have made (or abandoned).
We use the information Klaviyo provides to:
- Address any problems that might arise from your use of our system, e.g. if you’ve not been able to check-out and complete a purchase
- To follow up with you if you appear to have added products to your basket but not proceeded any further, or if you cancel your order
- To send targeted emails to you about your purchase or abandoned purchase or our other products
Other cookies used, tracking pixels or similar tools
We also make use of other tracking technologies to help us run our business. We may make use of Google and Facebook pixels for the purposes of measuring the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and to also serve our advertising via Google's advertising network.
Before we make use of these technologies via the website you will be prompted to provide consent to their use. If you do not consent to their use then we will not make use of these pixels and will not be able to measure the effectiveness or provide our marketing messaging to you.
We also use pixel tags (which are also known as web beacons and clear GIFs) on our site to track the actions of visitors on our site. Unlike cookies, which are stored on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device by a website, pixel tags are embedded invisibly on webpages. Pixel tags measure the success of our marketing campaigns and compile statistics about usage of the site at an aggregate level, so that we can manage our content and promote the site more effectively. The information we collect using pixel tags is not linked to our customers’ personal data.
Hosting - Shopify
Our UK shop is hosted on the Shopify platform. Shopify provide us with the ability to effectively offer our products and take care of the hosting and servicing of our online shop. Shopify also takes payments from customers who purchase our products which means we do not need to handle credit card or billing information.
When someone visits our store, Shopify uses a range of cookies to optimise the use of our store. You can find out about these cookies here (in the "Merchant storefronts" section): https://www.shopify.co.uk/legal/cookies
As a Shopify user we are provided with general aggregated information via a dashboard which summarises various information about visitors to our shop. As this information is aggregated it does not relate to specific customers or visitors to the website.
For more information about Shopify please visit their website: https://www.shopify.co.uk/website
Customers
If you become a customer, you will need to provide a certain amount of information so that we can fulfill your order. Typically, we will need your name, email, phone and address. You will also need to provide billing information, but this is managed via our third-party payment provider (Shopify) and we do not have access to this information.
We will use the information you provide to fulfill your order, as well as to contact you about your order before, during and after it has been shipped. We may also contact you afterwards to discuss your experience of using our website or, unless you have told us otherwise, to tell you about our other products.
All information you provide is stored within our website and managed by Shopify. We use a third-party provider to actually fulfill your order and therefore they will be provided with the minimal amount of information needed to supply you with the products you have ordered.
